Definition of Blended Learning

Term of English origin whose meaning in terms of virtual education is referred to as " blended learning " which is used to refer to the process through which the works carried out in the classroom (the classroom) and those carried out are combined place in line (courses and online classes ), one of its main characteristic features is that the student has the right to control the place, space work and time that is carried out such activity .

There are different blended learning models that can be applied :

The Flexible model : it is mainly constituted by online activities, the student has the possibility of interacting with different types of learning, in order to improve understanding based on the needs of the student, so the student has the flexibility to organize the form in how you want to be taught specifically , either in work groups or individually.

Rotation Model : here the learning activities are divided into stations, therefore the students are divided into groups, which will be assigned a specific station where they must perform a task for a certain period of time to then change station, within this model there are 4 subcategories that are, computer lab rotation, station rotation, inverted classroom and individual rotation.

A FTF model: the student can take some classes face-to-face , while in other subjects he can choose the online mode, where he is advised by the teacher in charge online.
Virtual model enriched: when this model is implemented students have face-to-face classes in certain days and times , however the rest of the classes are clearly online and are supported by the teacher in a virtual way, however these are usually optional for the students that they require them.
The work modality Blended Learning, is considered today as one of the most effective modalities of study compared to face-to-face and even with the total online modality, some argument of what supports this type of learning, is that the incorporation of new technologies in education helps to facilitate the learning experience independently and in collaboration, which causes greater student satisfaction and consequently better achievements.
